My client, a market leading security manufacturing company, are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager. You will be responsible for commercial sales and marketing support for both social housing and trade market sectors.
Responsibilities -
• Maximise, develop and maintain brand opportunities in synergy with the progression and growth of the business
• Managing team members and the function of support team – producing and covering Enquiries, Quotations, Pre-Qualifying Questionnaires.
• Manage exhibition support, literature requirements, overall promotion of the business
• Attend and present in presentations on tenders along with the sales force
• Undertaking projects to enhance and promote the brands – marketing, website
• Control spending on the product promotion and advertising budget
• Supporting the Sales Directors to allow them to focus on selling
Key Skills and Experience required:
• Direct experience in bid preparation for small and large (£1 million+) multi-year supply chain and service contracts for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Registered Social Landlords
• Comprehensive understanding of the formal tender process, including OJEU contract procedures, Joint Contract Tribunal contracts and Auctions
• Credible understanding of the benefits of strategic and collaborative partnering arrangements, both small and large
• Working knowledge of health and safety, quality and personnel management, procedures and certification
• Experience of coordinating with third party certification, licensing, accreditation and approval scheme providers
• Capable IT user
• Able to effectively and efficiently project manage a team working to tight deadlines
