Job Context (how does the role fit in with the department):Market Maker working as part of the Us Sports team. Role Summary (general requirements of the role):Market Maker - Dedicated to research; price compilation and in-running trading for NBA and Euro Basketball. Specific Role Details (day to day tasks to be performed):Conducting background research for different spread and fixed odds markets, updating databases and spreadsheets where necessary. Compiling and trading prices on a variety of markets and sports. Trading spread and fixed odds prices in-running. Helping monitor and manage liabilities. .Where necessary taking clients' bets on the telephone, explaining markets and dealing with any queriesCandidate ProfileCandidate Requirements (essential skills and experience that the candidate must have): Excellent attention to detailHighly Numerate (Degree or A-Level Mathematics is an advantage). Excellent knowledge of NBA and Euro Basketball. Must have at least two years experience of pricing and trading fixed odds and/or spread betting markets, particularly in-running. Must be prepared to work unsociable hours. Good knowledge of spread betting. Good knowledge of the betting industry.Good IT Skills particularly on excel spreadsheets. Good telephone manner.
