Job Details
The successful candidate will be employed by the client's Consulting and Engineering arm and be responsible for delivering HSE excellence in fifteen offices and throughout the UK and Europe. The client employs around 1300 people in office, laboratory, workshop and site facilities. They are looking to recruit a HSE Manager with experience in occupational and technical HSE issues. The successful candidate will be conversant with internationally recognised standards and be capable of implementing HSE policies and procedures consistently across their diverse locations. They are looking for someone with excellent communication skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive leadership and of HSE issues within UK and Europe
Liaison with Business Assurance Functions and the wider client HSE networks
HSE advice to managers and staff
Technical SHE Assurance UK and Europe
Occupational HSE Assurance UK and Europe
Communicating best HSE practice across Consulting and Engineering
Reporting HSE statistics and managing trends
Leadership in sustainability for Consulting and Engineering
Assuring legislative compliance
Drive HSE initiatives into Consulting and Engineering
Managing/conducting incident investigations
HSE input to pre-quals and tenders
Driving continuous improvement in HSE
Managing office HSE requirements - including DSE compliance
Essential Qualifications:
Suitably qualified and experienced, ideally educated to degree level Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions and inspire others. Ability to drive the importance of HSE assurance and performance into their culture.
Desirable Qualifications:
NEBOSH General Certificate
