Job Details
The Senior Logistics Analyst will be required to provide direction, control and monitoring of
TFR related activities when liaising with Front Line Commands and Arms and Services
Directorates at Deputy Director/Senior Staff Officer level, in addition to Project Team Leaders and
their Project & Requirements Managers. Liaison with Industry and Academia will also be required in
the oversight of TFR studies and associated data collection.
The Senior Logistics Analyst will be required to provide technical support to appropriate members of
the clients Projects who will represent the UK in International Research Collaboration on TFR,
establishment and other related matters.
The Senior Logistics Analyst will be required to contribute to the development of the client's current and long term capability to advise MoD on TFR, establishment and other related matters.
The Senior Logistics Analyst must show commitment to ensuring compliance with safety and
security procedures including those required by the client and MoD.
Working within the Battlefield Engineering & Logistics Team, the Senior Logistics Analyst will provide
technical advice and technical leadership for studies advising MOD on TFR, establishment and
other related matters during platform procurements. In addition he/she will be advising and
researching on TFR, establishment and other related strategy matters for MOD capability
management.
Reporting to the Team Leader, he/she will be responsible for the technical leadership of other
team members working on reliability and for developing the client's capability to provide advice to MOD in this area.
Essential Criteria
Candidates MUST have worked within a secure/MoD environment in the last 12 months.
Detailed working experience and knowledge of TFR, establishments, force structures and their
doctrine, policies, techniques, etc associated with applications to military systems and equipment
acquisition.
Can demonstrate the ability to apply statistical and probabilistic methods to support defence
procurements.
The person offered for this work should have a good degree (or equivalent experience) in a
science, maths, or other related technical discipline or be able to demonstrate that they have
experience commensurate with degree level education,
The ability to assimilate a broad range of project and technical subjects and to
clearly communicate these both internally and to MOD and Industry staff.
Willingness to travel both within the UK and overseas.
Experience and knowledge of military operations to include policy, doctrine and concepts.
Excellent written and presentation skills.

Desirable Criteria
Working experience and knowledge of military systems.
A goad understanding of research management principles, the operation of Project
Teams, knowledge of the Acquisition Operating Framework and UK Equipment
Programmes.
