Job Details
Our Client in the Public Sector Urgently requires a Teaching Assistant to work in their North Tyneside Office to provide Guidance for Long Term Unemployed Adults and to help them return back into work through training, guidance and mentoring.
This is an excellent opportunity and is on a Short Term Temporary ongoing basis.
You will provide assistance to the Job Tutor in his delivery of an Employability Skills Training Group
Must have strong literacy and numeracy skills
Would ideally suit a patient but assertive & positive person who is empathetic to client needs.
You will have strong interpersonal skills to motivate and encourage candidates, to give them the confidence to gain the necessary skills to get back into work.
Assisting the Tutor in Managing group and one to one sessions.
Management of resources and materials.
Planning, delivering and evaluating teaching and learning activities preparing the classroom for lessons
Assisting Adults who need extra support to complete tasks, individually and in groups
observing pupil performance and reporting on observations to the tutor
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience of being in a Delivering Employability Skills Training environment is an advantage
NVQ levels 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning is Essential.
It is not essential to have a Certificate in Adult Learning but it would be beneficial.
A willingness to undertake Take Assessors or Verifiers or Industry Certificates is also essential.
You must hold a current Enhanced Disclosure Certificate
A driving licence would be preferred but not essential.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 17.00 pm 37 & a half hours per week. The pay rate is negotiable between £7.00 to £8.00 per hour.
