Acorn Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Chemical Compliance Assistant for our client, a reputable and global electronics company.
This is a temporary on-going post to commence asap and will be based in the North Bristol area.
Applicants with a Chemistry background will be ideal and gradudates in this field will also be considered.
The Chemical Compliance Assistant will be required to work as part of a dynamic team in a busy office serving the whole of the European, Middle Eastern and African Market for Electronics & Communications.
This varied role will enable you to meet one of our client's core values that of Regulatory compliance. Effective customer care within the team enables the smooth delivery of their product to the customer and ensures safe use of the product and compliance with the regulations.
Main responsibilities:
To ensure all products have up to date MSDS’s and labels that meet current European Regulations.
To load raw material MSDS’s on local drives
Prepare COSHH assessment request forms to enable COSHH assessments to be carried out
Load COSHH assessments on local shared drive for the Bristol Site
Support Packing & Shipping with labels requests for samples
Support Packing & Shipping with MSDS requests for samples
Support the Product Development Laboratory labelling system
Assisting with the E&C Registration Evaluation Authorisation Chemicals (REACH) compliance requirements.
Assist with testing EH&S Compliance software for CLP compliance
Key skills:
Knowledge of European MSDS and labelling regulations would be advantageous
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials
Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
Capable to work under pressure and deliver results
Customer focused at all times
Capable to work both under close supervision and independently
Responsive to both external customers and colleagues
Reliable team player
The ability to work under pressure, whilst being patient and persistent.
Advantages could be:
Knowledge of SAP, Lotus Notes, Excel,
Ideally some experience of CHIP3, COSHH and Health and Safety legislation
Key requirements:
An ability to load data accurately and attention to detail.
Previous experience of Excel and Access
