We seek a highly skilled Material Planner to further compliment the organization and join a world-renowned business that is supplying more than 200 customers in over 40 countries across the globe. We are a truly international business, whose products are used for a variety of applications in key automotive, industrial, power generation, mining, construction and rail markets.
We are now seeking a highly experienced Material Planner to join the Materials team.
Duties include:
Effective scheduling of material through MRP and expedite processes.
Ensure on-time delivery to maintain planned production flow and meet customer delivery date.
Meet AOP targets re. inventory dollars and turns, E & O, premium freight etc.
Supplier development, including visits, as required.
Feedback of information to production Control and Customer Services through expedite process.
Applicants should be Degree qualified (pr professional qualification ie IOM Diploma or equivalent) with relevant experience. Knowledge of screens and transactions, COS, departmental procedures and work instructions, product knowledge (both engine and parts), AOP strategy and targets, logistical flows, shop floor and production line layout would be beneficial. Applicants must be numerate and able to manage own time and priorities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential. Computer literacy and negotiation skills required.
