ReThink's blue chip client ranked in the top 20 most visited UK E-commerce sites in 2009 and has continued to grow in status as a leading E-commerce business. As a result of this success an opportunity exists within the Applications Support Department for a Support Java Developer. The successful person will be responsible for supporting all aspects of multiple high traffic E-commerce websites.
What will you be doing?
Responding to issues that affect the availability of the eCommerce sites
Monitor availability and customer experience
Management of assigned internal and external developments
Programming, testing and implementation of new software
Ensure that current service levels are met on an ongoing basis
Liaise closely with other IT support teams to ensure synergies
Assign tasks to third party support teams
What are we looking from in you?
Good communicator and a self motivated team player
Excellent Java programming skills (J2EE)
Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server
HTML, Javascript
Knowledge of relational databases
Ability to understand new concepts and technology
Experience of XML, DB2, iSeries, Endeca and Hybris desirable but not essential
