Supply Chain Manager - London

Role - To manage relationships and ongoing continuous improvement programs within all areas of The Clients supply chain, including procurement, production (BAU and set up), shipping and quality.
The role is likely to involve spending up to 50% of time overseas. The successful candidate must be self starting and able to work independently.

CANDIDATE WILL COME FROM AN ELECTRONIC/ELECTROMECHANICAL BASED COMPANY

General responsibilities
* Keep oneself informed of developments in relevant subject matter areas and engage in continuous professional development
* Keep others adequately informed of project progress
* Communicate knowledge obtained to relevant people as soon as practicable
* Remain true to Clients values
* Outputs must be fit for purpose: of an appropriate level of quality and on time
* Give and receive timely feedback on performance
* Undertake such training as to develop relevant knowledge and skillset
* Ensure understanding of and alignment between daily tasks, project goals, and annual departmental
goals and the company's business goals

Responsibilities will include:
* Project management of production set up projects with sub contract manufacturers
* Production - Management of sub contract manufacturers against cost, delivery and quality targets, implementation of ECN's, issue resolution, management of RFQ processes, management of low volume prototype runs
* Supply Chain - Material procurements, management of relationships with existing suppliers and shipping partners
* Process - Review and upgrade where necessary of existing Supply Chain and Quality systems,
responsibility for global regulations and tariffs

Experience
* Experience in high volume electro?mechanical manufacture, and working experience in managing sub contract manufacturers as the main point of contact.
* With preferred experience of:
o Working with global supply chains
o Mechanical tool approval and part sign off
o Global customs and tariffs
o International regulatory and approvals requirements
o Implementation of in?house quality processes
o Advising development process to ensure suitable outputs for production
o Establishing testing strategies for production and qualification.
