Job Title: Trainee Assistant Manager – Demolition/Construction/Plant hire/Haulage/Waste Disposal/Recycling

Salary: £19K upwards

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

The Company has a strong Construction/Demolition background including an extensive track record of medium to large Civil engineering projects, you will be in an environment tackling the challenges this role offers immediately. You will be driven, commercially astute and entrepreneurial and be able to identify potential business opportunities through new and existing relationships. Ideally possessing a strong commercial acumen, you will be able to work both autonomously or part of a team and be able to enthuse and support those around you.

The Role:

Playing an active and influential role assisting the Company’s Manager with his day to day duties, you will also have the opportunity to develop your own projects in line with the Company’s parameters. Duties will include day to day organisation of resources and keeping the according records. Able to successfully research and instruct subcontractors, materials, plant and labour costs, you’ll be able to accurately assess the resources required, the risk and opportunities, innovative construction and demolition techniques and solutions, construction methodology, and identify timescales.

Personal Description:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

- Analytical ability when faced with problem solving exercise.

- Ability to take responsibility for own workload, work autonomously and employ the resources of others to assist when needed.

- Confident when working on high value projects.

- IT literate.

- Ability to cope with pressure in a demanding environment.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.

- Prepared to work extended hours when the role requires.

- Familiar with the Construction industry.

- Be prepared to undertake duties on a ad hoc basis
