Warehouse / Logistics Manager - CPC Operator’s Licence (Transport / Logistics)

Our client is a manufacturing company based in Southampton. They are now looking to recruit a Warehouse / Logistics Manager to join their team.
In this key role you will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the warehouse, logistics, transport and distribution operation.
Continually looking for ways to improve efficiency and performance, as the Warehouse / Logistics Manager you will manage the warehouse process from end-to-end, including ensuring vehicles are optimally loaded.
Your other duties will include:
- Managing all staff within the team including drivers and administrative staff
- Seeing that legislative requirements are adhered to, including ensuring vehicles are road worthy
- Managing from end-to-end, the transport, distribution and logistics process
- Managing the relationship with outsourced transport providers
- Undertaking varied and complex route planning
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Management level experience gained within a transport or logistics environment
- A CPC Operator’s Licence
As the Warehouse / Logistics Manager you will also need to demonstrate a strong level of commercial awareness and acumen, coupled with good interpersonal skills. The ability to lead staff and build effective relationships with suppliers will also be required.
