They ensure essential items such as fresh food and other time critical cargo is delivered with minimal disruption, under the most challenging conditions.
They are currently seeking an Aviation Inbound Operations Manager to be based at Sharjah, UAE, to manage the operations of our clients Inbound Aviation business and support the Assistant Operations Controller in Inbound Operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Operations Controller to ensure continuous, round the clock management of aircraft and warehousing operations.
You will oversee a broad range of operations to include warehousing, scheduling, cargo building and loading, and customer liaison.
You will manage vendor personnel in securing aircraft Prior Permission Required (PPRs), Over Flight Rights, and slot timings.
You will develop, institute and monitor operational reporting procedures and will liaise with cargo recipients to ensure timely offloading of aircraft, and relays to necessary personnel any discrepancies in flight schedules.
You will liaise with internal finance personnel to accurately report aircraft manifests, charter information, operational costs, etc.
You will source aircraft based on operational requirements, aircraft performance capabilities and required delivery timelines and will react rapidly to shifting priorities while maintaining control over critical requirements .
You will ensure compliance with ICAO, US Military, NATO, UN and host nation CAA directives.
Finally you will manage warehouse and loading personnel, aircraft and cargo handling vendors and will effectively manage employee issues liaising with the HR department where necessary.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished aviation inbound operations and warehouse professional with extensive aviation warehouse experience.
You will have extensive knowledge of aircraft loading and load-building, to include a detailed knowledge of cargo - aircraft load and performance capabilities and dangerous goods handling for air transport.
You will be familiar with aircraft load construction and requirements and will have established contacts with actual aircraft providers.
You will have previous experience with cargo tracking and monitoring and have experience with invoicing and the development of financial controls, i.e., cost
savings and cost comparisons.
You will have the ability to manage and integrate horizontally with our clients business units and have the ability to make sound command decisions based on operational and financial considerations.
You will have the ability to delegate, coach and guide subordinates towards successful outcomes.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished inbound operations and aviation warehouse professional looking for something different.
The basic salary is paid in AED (Dirhams) and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus payable after 12 month's service which is also paid in AED (Dirhams) and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. You will receive 25 days holiday plus public holidays and medical / health insurance is provided.
In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
