NVQ Assessor Dental based in Portsmouth. Our client a Further Education College is looking to recruit a NVQ Assessor to assess students on a range of vocational competencies in Dental.

Description of duties
Reporting to the Head of Business, Accounting & Financial Services, main duties and responsibilities include:
To promote excellence in line with the Colleges vision, mission, strategic priorities and objectives and the Centre identity.
Maintain a caseload of students that meets the target agreed with the Apprenticeship Coordinator / Offsite Delivery Coordinator.
Carry out regular visits to all students on caseload ensuring that each student is provided sufficient opportunity to achieve his/her framework by the expected end date.
Plan and deliver NVQ training, assessment and internal verification both on site and in sub centres including in-company work based assessments and reviews.
To assist in the colleges planning process including the monitoring, review and evaluation of provision and performance and update tracking databases.
Provide the Apprenticeship Coordinator / Offsite Delivery Coordinator with projected and actual figures on starts, numbers of students in training and achievers on a weekly basis.
To be responsible for managing the student experience in the subject area in order to ensure student success.
To assist the Apprenticeship Coordinator / Offsite Delivery Coordinator in the implementation of his/her duties.
Experience / Qualifications
It is essential that candidates will possess the following:
TDLB D32/33/34 or A1 V1
Level 3 Qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
Evidence of commitment to continuous personal/professional improvement within the last 5 years
Experience of assessing NVQs
Good written/ verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet targets with timescales
Self instructed
Enthusiasm and drive
Flexible attitude
Reliable
Driving licence
Commitment to operating in a healthy and safe environment
Commitment to high professional and personal standards of work and of conduct
