Buyer / Purchasing Manager (Fresh Produce) – Spanish Speaking

£19,000 - £50,000 DOE Plus Pension, Scope for Career Progression
Our client is one the largest UK fresh produce companies, supplying the major supermarkets, wholesale, c-store and foodservices sectors. An opportunity has now arisen for a Spanish speaking Buyer / Purchasing Manager to join their team.
For this role our client is looking to recruit someone with experience as a buyer or buying manager and fluency in Spanish. Applicants from all levels are invited to apply, and as such, the salary is dependent on experience.
As a Buyer / Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for working with suppliers from across Europe, Africa and the Middle East to source products for ambient salads.
Excellent communication skills, a good level of numeracy and the ability to work as part of a team are essential to this role, as is the ability to work under pressure and a flexible approach.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- experience as a Buyer or Buying Manager
- fluency in English and Spanish
- a strong level of computer literacy
Whilst not essential, fluency in French would be beneficial to your application, as would experience as a fresh produce buyer for a supermarket or importer/packer.
The successful Buyer / Purchasing Manager will receive a competitive salary that matches their experience, a pension and scope to progress.
Due to the location of the office, candidates must have a full driving licence. It would be preferable if you have your own transport, however for the right person a car can be negotiated as part of the remuneration package.
