Our client is Europe's leading independent centre of excellence in naval design and engineering. They are internationally recognised for their independence and professionalism in naval architecture, marine engineering, systems engineering and software development for ministries of defence and other clients in the defence sector. An opportunity has arisen for a Security Controller / Co-ordinator to join their team.
As a Security Controller / Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all employees comply with company security, health and safety, and environmental management policies.
Your focus will be on reviewing, updating and communicating changes to company security, H&S and environmental management policies to staff. As such, concise communication and report writing skills are important, as is the ability to work autonomously.
You will also be involved in the day to day coordination of security, health and safety and environment documentation, and promotion of these governance systems within the company. Additionally, you will help work towards the company achieving an ISO standard for environmental standards.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- experience of working in Security Control
- previous experience of writing clear, concise and detailed reports
Additionally, as the Security Controller / Co-ordinator, you must have good written and verbal English skills. You should also have a methodical approach and an eye for detail, as well as the ability to prioritise your own work.
The ideal candidate will have experience gained within the defence industry, although this is not essential.
