Our Client is the Aviation Division of this expanding Group and provides vital services in supply air logistics to remote sites in post conflict locations and remote areas.
They are currently seeking an Aviation QA Program Manager to be based in Afghanistan.
Reporting into the QMS and Air Worthiness Manager the successful candidate will monitor the quality and airworthiness management systems, supplier compliance, continuing airworthiness and performance monitoring throughout our clients Aviation Business Unit. In addition you will ensure ongoing quality and airworthiness compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Managing a team of Quality Assurance Managers you will lead audits, managing and mentoring a team of Auditors in the conduct of audits of the quality / air worthiness management system.
You will assist in the management of compliance with quality / airworthiness regulations and standards throughout our clients Aviation Business Unit.
You will program quality / airworthiness assurance activities and will manage corrective actions for external and internal audit findings, within the required timeframes.
Finally you will develop and implement quality assurance procedures and policy, facilitate the development and review of procedures and policies and will maintain a quality and airworthiness publication library.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will need to be an accomplished QA / QC professional with significant experience in the aviation industry likely to be Ex- military and ideally with some leadership experience gained in Iraq or Afghanistan.
You will be experienced in Quality and Airworthiness management systems in the aviation industry.
You will be an accomplished Auditor with Lead Auditor experience auditing quality and airworthiness regulatory requirements.
You should have experience in managing, training and mentoring staff in dispersed locations.
You should have experience with quality ISO 9001:2008 regulations, with airworthiness ICAO, FAA/EASA and CAA regulations, quality standards AS9100 and experience in document control, continuous improvement programs and audit programming.
You will have knowledge of customer requirements including United Nations, US Department of Defense and the Contracted Airlift Review Board process.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally able to speak some Farsi or Russian, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner, work to tight deadlines and pay attention to the detail.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate particularly in spreadsheets.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished aviation QA / QC professional looking for something different.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus payable after 12 month's service which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. Accommodation, laundry, local transport, medical / health insurance, permanent disability and death benefit, bereavement leave and meals are all provided free. In addition you will have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also use of the internet for e-mails etc.
Ex-Patriate employees will receive 63 days annual leave per year and the working rota is approximately 14 weeks on, 3.5 weeks off.
In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 3 paid return economy flights per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
