Our client is a market leading B2B wholesaler supporting in excess of 100 business units nationally through a network of regional distribution centres and hubs. Capitalising on recent change programmes, an opportunity has now arisen for a Distribution Centre Manager to join their team.
As the Distribution Centre Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our client’s premier distribution centre.
Reporting to the General Manager for Logistics, you will be tasked with leading a team of shift managers and a Transport Manager. You will provide highly visible, hands-on leadership and ensure your team is fully trained and highly motivated in order to meet agreed service levels.
To be considered for the role of Distribution Centre Manager, you must have previous experience in warehousing, logistics or distribution.
Additionally, you must have great leadership skills, be able to set a high standard for your team, drive continuous improvement and encourage a ‘can-do’ attitude. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach are also key.
