Field Failure QA Engineer, Infrastructure Products
Main Duties and responsibilities:
* Main contact for any product field failure analysis
* Manage the Returned Materials Analysis process.
* Evaluate root cause, recommend creative solutions.
* Preparation of RMA reports for external customers
* Responsible for timely analysis and reporting of findings to internal departments.
* Drive and improve the key performance indicators (KPI) system for field reliability
* Work with the supply chain to improve field reliability of ongoing products
* Work with project development teams to improve and secure field reliability of new products
* Implement procedure changes and improvement projects to support continual improvement
* Tracking of progress through manufacturing and engineering
Visits to the main manufacturing facility and various specialist suppliers are also required from time to time.
Expected background:
* Experience in Industrial/Mechanical/ Electronic Engineering with a Quality Assurance, Customer focused, Systems Orientated focus or equivalents
* Experience working in an analytical or statistical role
Mandatory skills and experience
* An excellent academic track record that will include an engineering biased degree with a 1st or 2.1 from a leading University, with strong A 'level achievements
* A solid engineering background with strong QA or analytical skills and focus
* A comprehensive knowledge of system and electronic related products with associated high values (c£1 million +)
* Excellent communication skills, including customer facing experience
* Evidence of self driven and targeted approaches
