Product Marketing Manager

My client, a successful and growing company based in Rayleigh is currently looking to appoint a Product Marketing Manager on a permanent full time basis. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager who can demonstrate their success of defining and launching excellent products.
As Product Marketing Manager you will be responsible for product planning and developing product marketing material for the company’s catalogue and web site. This will include managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritising product and customer requirement, defining the product vision and working closely with the purchasing department and suppliers to deliver first class products. You will be required to:
• Define the product strategy and roadmap
• Be an expert with respect to the competition
• Develop product management workflow and processes
• Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
• Monitor, analyse and report product range performance statistics
• Liaise with suppliers in order to establish new product requirements
• Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Work with the marketing department to develop product launch plans
• Present business cases for product range developments
• Develop sales tools for the customer contact centre
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in the mail order market and should have the ability to influence cross functional teams. You will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work well as part of a team and should have be able to provide examples and a sample of an effective document delivered in the past.
