Investment Specialist

My client an investment company based in the City of London are looking for an investment specialist to join their implementation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with detailed investment and client services experience to join a very successful company. My client is situated within walking distance of Liverpool Street and Fenchurch Street train stations and offers a very nice working environment.

Please be aware that this position is likely to involve some travel to client sites on a monthly basis so therefore it is ideal that you are able to drive however this is not necessarily essential.

This position works alongside the sales and marketing department and helps them to establish an up to date knowledge base in an ever changing investment/fund management sector. THIS IS NOT A SALES ROLE. My client is ideally looking for someone that has some basic technical knowledge with ideally a basic understanding of SQL however this is not essential. You must have previous management information experience and be used to producing reports when needed. You must have strong communication skills and be used to liaising with people at all levels of business.

This position is responsible with keeping an up to date knowledge of the investment platform market. You will be required to understand how a platform works and be able to explain the benefits of such a service/tool in presentations to clients and other areas of the business. You will need to keep up to date with changes in investment products and services as well as FSA changes too. You must be proactive in maintaining an awareness of industry changes. You will be responsible to track the usage of services and to liaise with IFA’S/clients in relation to products that have had a good or bad take up to improve client relationships and the services on offer.
